Oklahoma City is home to more than a million people and countless opportunities to serve, build relationships, and share the hope of Jesus. Our team will partner with Olivet Baptist Church, located in the heart of OKC, to help strengthen its connection with the surrounding community and point people toward Jesus.

Throughout the project, we may serve people experiencing homelessness, participate in community events, host activities such as a soccer camp, complete light work projects, prayer walk neighborhoods, distribute information, and look for natural opportunities to have Gospel conversations. The goal is simple: meet real needs, love people well, share the Gospel, and help build bridges between Olivet and the people who live around it.

Olivet desires to be a Gospel oasis in the city, a place where people facing real struggles, pain, questions, and brokenness can discover real grace, truth, community, forgiveness, and transformation through Jesus. We’ll put boots on the ground to help the church serve its neighbors and make Christ known.

This is an excellent first mission trip. It’s short enough to fit into a busy summer, long enough to make a meaningful impact, and intentionally designed to be low cost with big impact. Participants will stay at Olivet, which has great facilities and plenty of space for mission teams. Individuals are welcome to join, and churches or student ministries can bring an entire group.

Teams will be housed at Church Inside Out and should bring an air mattress and bedding. Participants are responsible for their own transportation to and from the host church at the beginning and end of the project. During the week, teams will be transported throughout the Tulsa metro area in church vans or buses. he mission focus includes evangelism in mobile home and apartment communities through Camp Inside Out (a high-energy kids camp), street ministry, compassion efforts, and service projects.

New York City is one of the most influential places on earth. Millions of people from nations and cultures around the world live within its five boroughs, making NYC an incredible mission field with the potential for impact far beyond the city.

Our team will partner with Brian and Stephany Meister and 6 Degrees Ministries to strengthen Gospel work throughout NYC. Brian and Stephany connect churches with local pastors and church planters, mobilize young adults, and help provide the relationships and support needed for long-term ministry.

A special focus will be serving alongside Cultivate West Village, a new church plant in Manhattan near NYU and Washington Square Park. Our team will help build relationships, serve the neighborhood, connect with the community, and create opportunities to share Jesus.

Ministry may include community outreach, prayer walking, service projects, neighborhood events, Gospel conversations, and other ways of supporting local churches and church planters. The goal is not simply to spend a week doing ministry in New York, but to come alongside people who are planting their lives there and help move their Gospel work forward.

This fast-paced, relational, Gospel-centered project also offers an incredible cross-cultural missions experience without leaving the United States. You’ll experience the energy and diversity of NYC while helping serve the local church, encourage church planters, love the city, and help more people hear the good news of Jesus.

Alaska is known for breathtaking mountains, endless wilderness, and incredible adventure, but it is also a mission field filled with people who need the hope of Jesus. Communities are spread across a massive state, and local churches and missionaries are faithfully working to build relationships, make disciples, and share the Gospel. Our Alaska Projects gives teams the opportunity to come alongside those already doing the work and help them reach their communities.

Part of our teams serve in the Copper River Valley alongside Brian and Heather Williams and their ministry, Fields of Alaska. The Williams family is investing their lives in this spiritually underserved region by sharing the Gospel, making disciples, developing leaders, and working toward planting healthy churches. Our team will help strengthen Fields of Alaska through outreach, service projects, Gospel conversations, and practical ministry that helps them build relationships throughout the valley.

We’ll also partner with Cross Roads Baptist Church in North Pole, Alaska, helping the church reach children, students, and families in its community. One opportunity will be serving through their Centershot Archery ministry, which uses archery instruction alongside biblical teaching to build relationships and share the Gospel. Teams may also participate in community outreach, service projects, church ministry, and other creative opportunities that help Cross Roads build bridges with its neighbors and point people to Jesus.

This trip combines two different ministry settings with one purpose: come alongside faithful local leaders, serve their communities, build relationships, and create opportunities for people to hear the Gospel. And while you’ll experience some of the incredible beauty and adventure of Alaska along the way, the real reason we’re going is to help advance the Gospel in the Last Frontier.

GUATEMALA PROJECT

Join us in Guatemala as we partner with Campos de Sueños (Fields of Dreams) to serve children and families in Santa María de Jesús, a community located near Antigua at the foot of Volcán de Agua. Campos de Sueños exists to bring the love of Jesus to children and families with a vision of raising generations of disciples who will walk with the Lord and serve Him throughout their lives. Campos De Sueños

A major part of our time will be spent serving through the ongoing ministries of Campos de Sueños. Their work combines nutrition, education, discipleship, vocational training, carpentry, and sewing to care for practical needs while intentionally pointing children and families toward Christ. Campos De Sueños Our team will help with feeding children, children’s ministry, outreach, and other projects that strengthen and move the ministry forward.

One of the most meaningful parts of this project is getting outside the ministry facility and visiting families in their homes. These visits give us opportunities to listen to people’s stories, learn about their needs, encourage and pray with families, build relationships, and share the hope of the Gospel. Rather than simply coming in to complete projects, we want to help Campos de Sueños deepen relationships with families they will continue serving long after our team leaves.

Campos de Sueños desires for children to experience God’s love and compassion in tangible ways, including meals, education, benevolence, biblical teaching, and discipleship. Their goal goes beyond meeting immediate needs. They want children to know Jesus, grow in their relationship with Him, learn to serve others, and eventually become leaders who reach the next generation. They also intentionally look for opportunities to share Christ with the children’s parents and families. Campos De Sueños

This project is highly relational, hands-on, and Gospel-centered. You’ll serve children, enter homes, build friendships, experience Guatemalan culture, encourage local leaders, and help an established ministry continue reaching its community. It’s an opportunity to see how meeting physical needs and making disciples can work together as we come alongside Campos de Sueños to help bring the love and hope of Jesus to children and families in Guatemala.

Join us in Panama as we partner with Mobile Missions Network, Cru Panama, La Comunidad Bible Church, and local Panamanian pastors to take the Gospel into communities where God is already raising up leaders and growing His church.

A significant part of this project will focus on serving among the Ngäbe-Buglé people in the mountainous regions of Panama. Some communities are remote, and people may travel long distances for school, church, and other basic needs. Local pastors are faithfully sharing Christ, making disciples, developing leaders, and planting churches throughout the region. Our goal is to come alongside them and help move that work forward.

Ministry opportunities may include home visits, personal Gospel conversations, children’s ministry, school outreach, community events, showing the JESUS Film, prayer, and other creative evangelism opportunities. Teams will spend time with people where they live, build relationships, clearly share the Gospel, and help local churches connect with individuals and families who can continue being discipled after our team leaves.

Past projects have seen hundreds of people gather to hear the Gospel, including large community showings of the JESUS Film. But the goal is bigger than what can happen during one week. We want to support local pastors who are there year-round, equip leaders, strengthen churches, and help establish Gospel work that continues multiplying long after we return home.

This project will be relational, evangelistic, cross-cultural, and Gospel-centered. You’ll experience the beauty and culture of Panama while serving alongside incredible local believers who are passionate about reaching their own people.

Reaching the Heart of Europe’s Oldest Nation

Portugal, one of Europe’s oldest nations, is a land of stunning coastlines, historic cities, and a rich cultural heritage. Yet behind its beauty lies a deep spiritual need. Evangelical believers make up less than half of one percent of the population, and in many areas Christians are almost invisible. Evangelical churches are few, small, and often isolated—the average congregation has fewer than 50 people.

GoodNews Journey partners with our longtime friend and missionary pastor, Fernando Silva, who faithfully leads gospel work across northern Portugal. Fernando pastors churches and mobilizes mission teams to serve in cities like Vila Real, Chaves, and Bragança, where the presence of the gospel is minimal. In one metro area of 200,000 people, his church is the only Baptist congregation.

On this mission trip, your team will join Fernando and his church to bring light into spiritual darkness. You’ll connect with families in low-income apartment communities through social activities, community events, and personal evangelism. You’ll encourage local believers who often feel isolated and help expand gospel influence in cities where the name of Jesus is rarely heard.
